Pretty sweet view from our conference room.
For lunch, I had a chicken burrito with tomato rice, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatos, medium salsa, corn, beans, maybe other stuff that I'm forgetting... BUT NOT CHEESE BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR CHEESE WTF.
I also bought some watermelon juice (西瓜汁). I didn't know what the last word was, didn't know the Chinese word for juice, and there was no English... So I said I wanted xiguashui (watermelon water). And then the lady looked at me funny and asked me what I wanted again. Then I attempted to guess what the word was (and guessed incorrectly).
Such an embarrassing moment...
THE LADY STARTED LAUGHING AT ME HYSTERICALLY AND THEN GRABBED HER CO-WORKER AND SAID IN CHINESE "HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THAT WORD IS!" AND THEN THEY LAUGHED TOGETHER.
Never going back to that place again. So ashamed of myself. I may never show my face in public again.
Had to translate so much stuff from Chinese to English in order to do my Excel stuff... So tedious and annoying.
Also, I changed my background to a cow udder, just 'cause I'm udderly ridiculous.
After work, I went back to the subway station food court area with Jen, and I had some xiaolongbaos!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In other news they also sell these waffles that are fish-shaped.
Like seriously, "Hmm... What snack will I have today... some cake...? No, that's not what I want... some ice cream? No, that's not it either... Oh, I know! Fish-shaped waffles! Of course!"
