Closing Week!
Basically the really busy time for the Finance Department. And since this company is so disorganized, it is extra busy and frantic, with a lot of staying at the office late. (I still left at 5 though)
As a result, we were in a conference room in the Jingan office for the week.
Winston returned from his 2 week business trip all over the place.
He brought these licorice candies that he got in the Netherlands. Bleh, so nasty tasting. Too strong. STILL not as bad as durian though.
He also brought back whiskey chocolates. They were yum.
For lunch, we went to this beef noodle place. Lao Dong means 'old dong.' Appetizing...

After work I went to dinner with Jen, and Luke showed up later. We went to a German restaurant in Xintiandi. I ordered the "grilled cheese - sausage" thinking it was a grilled cheese with sausage in it. Nope, they were grilled cheese-sausages. Four of 'em. I was very shocked and disappointed. The first of many miscommunications at a restaurant in China.
Jen, on the other hand, decided to get the pretzel tree. Lol.
At least my double chocolate eggnog ice cream tasted good!!! Even if the presentation was very weird and a little difficult to eat. "Cup or cone?" "Both." Lol. I went home after dinner. I've installed VisualBoyAdvance on my computer and have been playing it all the time whenever I'm bored, which is most of the time.
