7/20 - Dinner, Shopping & Teppanyaki with Jen

7/20

Sat around in my room for most of the day. Then, at around 4, I headed out to meet up with Jen to go do some more shopping. She still needed to get some more things before she started packing on Sunday (7/21) and left on Monday (7/22) morning.

On the subway, I saw this cute grandpa.

Jen told me she hadn't eaten anything all day yet, when I finally got there around 5... So we went to Element Fresh in Xintiandi. I got a lamb kebab gyro or something like that. It was pretty good, but also really expensive.

Got some of this tea for my dad.

We went to this store that sold ceramic cats. This huge, magnificent one was almost 5000 RMB.

I don't think I will ever understand why, but Jen thought they were 'SOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!' and bought a lot of small ones.

After we left, Jen: "Holy crap, I just spent 500 kuai on cats!!!!"

Then we went to the supermarket nearby. I got some more souvenirs, which I was originally going to gift to other people, but I think I might keep them for myself now... hehe...

They have Hello Panda in China too!

AND Hello Kitty Beer!!!!!!!!

Jen fully appreciated each cat individually. Took pictures of all of them together, rearranging them and taking more pictures, then taking individual pictures of each one. She even contemplated going back and getting another set, so that she could keep one set for herself and gift the other set.

Finally beat this stupid level by miraculously getting two disco balls and mixing them. Such a stupid game.

Then, she showed me the new Miley Cyrus video. Lol.

Also, she introduced me to Archer. I actually really like it!

And then, we went to meet up with a bunch of people to get Teppanyaki!

So much meat, I was already stuffed from dinner.

Our dessert was the best part. Grilled bananas with ice cream on top. OMG *DROOL* （*´▽｀*）

Afterward, they all were going out, but I decided it was past my bedtime, so I said goodbye to Jen and then headed home. It was rainy out, but I think that glass elevators are cool. Probably never going to see her again. (ToT)
