6/24--6/27
Pretty much did nothing and just sat around at work. Went online and did some Excel stuff. Cooked for myself most nights...
Cooking for myself includes all of the following: noodles.
I'm pretty much never going to eat noodles ever again.
Meanwhile at work we get a crapton of food, most of which is bland and flavorless. Shanghainese cuisine at its finest... I usually put a lot of pepper oil on my food.
Also, Ivy brought baozi on the shuttle in the morning one day for me and Rachel. It was yummy. It had eggplant in it!
I had diarrhea as soon as I got back from Chengdu. After 3 whole days of scoring a six [credit Shakthi for introducing me to the Bristol scale], I finally went to a medicine shop and got these magic M&Ms.
Ivy also brought some yangmei for everyone at work. My first time eating yangmei!!! They were pretty good!!!!!!
Chinese men also have
Coworkers thought it would be fun to take a nice long walk after lunch... in 90+ degree weather with 50+% humidity. Great scenery too.
After work on Thursday (6/27), Rachel took me and Ivy out to dinner! (We all take the company shuttle at the same stop, so we all live relatively close.) Rachel lives in the unofficial Koreatown, so we went to a restaurant that was Korean-style Chinese food. It was delicious and fun. Ivy and Rachel are so funny. Ivy watches all of these American TV shows, her fave right now is Carrie Diaries. They were most amused when I introduced the word 'curvy' to them to describe the female figure. I don't really know why.
Anyway, I thought it was just dinner, but Rachel was like let's go get more food!!!!! [LOL]
So we got these things (I already took a few bites). That's ONE potato, and it's all still connected. So crazy. I was so stuffed already; did not end up finishing that.
But the night was still young apparently, and we went to get coffee because Red Mango was closed for some reason.
Anyway, it was a fun night!!!!
