7/13 - Xitang & Puyuan

7/13

After I woke up, I went to get breakfast by myself.
SUPER SMALL XIAOLONGBAO THAT I SAW THE NIGHT BEFORE!!!!!

Then, we walked around some more for like another solid 2 hours. And I bought some souvenirs too.

Probably the best picture of me since I got to China.

I got some coconut milk. YUM!

This was a bar last night. During the day, it's just a cool-looking, old building.

I decided to rip my shirt off and throw this hat on. Yup, believe it or not, that's me.

These are all crazy, loud bars at night. But during the day they look really pretty and quiet. Such a crazy transformation.

I'm on the roof!!!!

This guy is a fisherman. When he sees a fish, he sends one of his birds, which have strings around their necks so that they can't swallow the fish. Pretty cool!

Some live crayfish in a box.

Some food.

Some baos.

Some more baos.

We went in this door and found this nice courtyard-y area. Technically, we weren't allowed to take any pictures, but whatever I just pretend I don't understand Chinese. Carpe diem.

On the road back to their house in Puyuan. Hi biker.

Lunch time.

These (live) crabs have cloth tide around their claws and to their undersides so that they don't kill each other.

Everywhere we went, the plates and whatnot were all packaged like this. Very odd to me. I don't really understand why this is done. Do they send their dirty dishes somewhere, and someone else washes it and then packages it for them?

Had some huangjiu for the first time ever. Apparently this brand is made locally right in Puyuan.

She mad.

Their house!

Their business is packaging and selling women's wool shirts.

Dinner!

Duck! Their local flavor... tastes kind of sweet-ish. Not that tasty.

They showed me their factories and stuff.

This machine makes parts of the shirts. It's actually really cool; everything is done by computer. And each machine makes a different part of the shirt (i.e. sleeve, front, back), and then they put it through a different machine at a different place that puts together each of the pieces.

So after drivin' round town, we went home to play some mahjong.

And after that, me and the guy that is like 24 went out for a midnight snack. So many noms. He's a very interesting character. He recently got married this year. When asked how long he and his wife dated, he said they haven't yet...?!
