Went into a briefing with the finance team: Asia region controller, former controller, and controller assistant.
The controller is Winston, the former controller is Rita, and the controller assistant is Jason.
I learned all about the company's history, but they deal mostly with specialty finishes (SF). Since today is only Winston's third day on the job, Rita also had to explain the structure and such, so I got a very thorough run-down of the SF global, regional, and country structure.
Then, I learned all about the recent acquisition of Schrramm/SSCP, lots of numbers and stats based on country, sector (consumer electronics, automotive, niche), etc. Learned about the company's revenues, EBIT, EBITDA, OWC, and so much other stuff.
Winston had so many questions non-stop since it is only his 3rd day in the position. I even asked a few questions of my own!! NBD, but still a pretty big deal.
We took a quick 30 minute lunch intermission, followed by another 30 minutes of me relaxing while Winston goes to make some phone calls. We are gonna resume at 1; I'm excited! Will write more later xoxo.
It is now 1:45, and we are still not back in the meeting..

4:50 rolled around and Winston came over and apologized that he got really busy with conference calls, especially since he is flying out on Monday. He's gonna be gone for 2 weeks starting 6/17.
When I got home, my cousin and I made dumplings!!!
