My cousin came over in the morning around 9:30am, and we went to the bank at around 10. we made an account for me, and now I have a debit card! The people that worked there treated me funny, and kept looking through my passport. Good thing it's brand new and only has stamps from Canada and Shanghai, otherwise that guy wouldve never let me leave...
The bank, and anything else in China, is different from America. I found out that you have to take a number at the bank just like you would at a deli. And it takes forever and is disorganized. We ended up leaving the bank at around 12:30 and got noodles for lunch.
After lunch, we went on an adventure to get to the supermarket. We took my first chinese bus (!!!!) a few stops to Lotus supermarket.
We bought so much stuff, like rice, noodles, nail clippers, bowl, pot, chopsticks, spoon, hangers, mantou, clothes pole hanger, toilet paper, napkin/tissues, oreos
On our way back, we finally got me a SIM card! 13661439410, HMU ;)!!!
Got back to my room and put everything down, then we searched for a hotel for my cousin that was closer to my apartment. For some reason my dad told her to go to a hotel that was near my workplace, which is forever away from my apartment...
Eventually found a hotel that was close and reasonably priced and checked it out. Then we went to a grocery store across the street and bought some veggies and fruits, along with a small knife and some red bean flavored milk... (which i just found out this morning is the most delicious thing EVER!!!!)
we got back to my room and made some noodles for dinner,
and then we were both tired so she went home around 8:30 or 9. I passed out around 10:30.

Shanghai Sightseeing!!!!!
My cousin came over around 9:30am, and we had rice porridge/congee for breakfast.
Took a bus and then the subway (!!!!!!).
The subway is so much nicer, newer, and quieter than in New York! But definitely always very crowded.
We went straight to the Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower. We bought a package deal for a boat ride on the Huangpu River, a ticket up to the second ball of the Pearl Tower, and admission to the Shanghai History Museum.
The boat ride was cool, we got some really great views of both sides of Shanghai (Pudong and Old Shanghai).
In the Oriental Pearl Tower, we were able to see decently far, even with the fog/pollution, but my iphone camera couldnt take very good pictures sadly. We were 263m high!
The people who worked there wore this funky space outfit... not that i know anything about fashion.
After we got back down, we went to the Shanghai History Museum, which was pretty interesting. There were a bunch of cool pictures and so many wax figures that looked so real. It was a bit scary. But very interesting at the same time!
After that, it was around 4pm. We still wanted to go to YuYuan Garden, so we took the subway there. We were feeling a bit hungry so we stopped for some Xiaochi.

We finished around 4:45 and found out online that the garden closed at 4:45... so we decided that we can go another day. We walked back toward the subway and walked through Chenghuang Miao without me realizing... still took some pics though!!
and then, we went to Nanjing Road.
Nanjing Road has so many stores. But really there wasnt much to see there... it was just really crowded.
Got home and just hung out for a bit. Then I passed out around 10:30.

First day at my internship! I was so excited!
But they were all really busy and didn't have anything planned for me to do... Oh well maybe tomorrow.
Got home and made some soup with pork and veggies with my cousin for dinner!
Kept passing out starting around 8pm... Goodnight!
